L2 CLIENT SUPPLIED PC OPTION A: ONLINE SET UP:
If you already have a compatible PC, Solid can remotely configure it for use with our scoring software.
Solid will:
- Load and configure the current Solid software.
- Disable sleep settings to help prevent interruptions during operation.
- Turn off Windows notifications to minimise disruptions during game time.
Please note: Windows updates are not disabled as part of this setup and may still run, po`tentially interrupting your scoring system.
L3 CLIENT SUPPLIED PC OPTION B: IN-PERSON SET UP:
Bring your existing compatible PC to Solid HQ in Carrum Downs, Victoria, for our optimised Windows setup.
Solid will:
- Remove the existing Windows operating system.
- Install Solid's optimised, lean Windows setup.
Important: This process will erase all data on the PC.
Please back up any files you wish to keep before dropping off your computer.
The client is responsible for dropping off and collecting the PC from Solid HQ once the work is complete.
Minimum specs required for Solid PC setup:
- Storage: 256GB
- RAM: 4GB
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (Mac devices and notebooks are not compatible)
- Ethernet port
- USB ports
- HDMI input port
SOLID’S OPTIMISED / LEAN PC SETUP
Includes a custom version of Windows designed for maximum performance and reliability.
- Bloatware and unnecessary features are removed to improve performance and resource usage.
- All notifications and unnecessary Windows updates are turned off to prevent disruptions during game time.
This setup ensures a stable and hassle-free experience, eliminating the risk of unexpected updates interfering with your scoring system.
